Camden Point is a quaint rural community surrounded by beautiful farmland and close to the winding Platte River. It's located in Platte County, Missouri 20 minutes north of Barry Road off I-29 Hwy. Camden Point is small town Americana. It's a place where neighbors are friends, the fire department consist of volunteers and they still celebrate the Fourth of July with an old-fashioned parade, but what makes Camden Point even more special is it's citizens.
My dad is the pastor at the Christian Church in Camden Point and one year we were talking about people who are alone for the holidays and my dad told me that in a small town people tend to look after and take care of one another and there were people in Camden Point who put together meals for seniors and others who are alone for the holidays and this is where the idea of Holiday Suppers started.
